Alles in allem der wahrscheinlich beste Rapper von der Ostküste. Keiner hat so viele geile Alben rausgebracht wie KRS. Die BDP Alben sind alles Classics und die ersten 4 Soloalben sind auch sehr gut. Außerdem ist "Live Hardcore Worldwide" noch heute das Referenzalbum was Livealben betrifft.

Er hat keinem mehr als 9/10 gegeben. "KRS-One" hat er als bestes bezeichnet. Ich finde die meisten BDP und sein erstes Solo auf jeden Fall besser. Außer "By All Means Necessary" habe ich die Alben aber alle schon länger nicht mehr gehört.
KRS-One ein weiterer bekannter Vertreter des Conscious Rap.
Hat als sich als "Battle MC" in New York bereits einen Namen gemacht, ehe er mit dem Sozialarbeiter Scott LaRock (RIP) BDP gründete.
Textlich immer wieder eine Klasse für sich, mir persönlich fehlte bei vielen BDP oder KRS-One Solo Alben jedoch immer wieder die passende musikalische Untermalung, weshalb die Alben - bis auf Ausnahmen wie bsp. "By all means..." - als Gesamtkunstwerk bei mir nicht so einschlugen, während bestimmte Tracks immer wieder ein Genuß waren.
Als Anmerkung hat vor einigen Jahren "Hip Hop Lives" ein Album mit Marley Marl als Produzent und dem Blastmaster am Mikrophone heraus gebracht -> da paßt die Musik dann auch mal wieder ein klasse Teil...
